Fate decided for me to be an only child, but fate also gave me brothers at heart. They are the pillars and support that come from a relationship driven by the only interest of the well being of one another. They are distant and far away and they are always close and a heartbeat away. It is to these remarkable human beings that in more than one way have better my life that I dedicate this blog entry so they know that thus far apart they will also be forever in my heart.
Viagnehy the cousin and brother since my early life, Adolfo true and loyal companion in my Priesthood days with the Gnostic church, Daniel (Leo) always wise and full of vision, Elvis the first friend I made in Brandeis High School, Julio my brother and companion through very hard times, Cep my brother in arms back in the Air Force and for the rest of my life, Octavio my big brother from Nicaragua that is always available to provide laughter and support at a moments notice.
All of you are from different backgrounds, personalities spread apart, different in so many ways yet personalities so look alike. You are all so unique in your own ways and you love me all the same, for we have shared moments of joy and laughter as well of pain and surrow. We are who and what we are not asking for acceptance just for true frienship without regards. We do not judge nor want to be judge, we only hide in a mirror that shows our true side.
We are brothers not by blood, but by the fate of life and yet the link seems to be just as strong. I have to thank you all and pay tribute to your friendship and support. In this time of year I take a moment to say thank you and to only wish to each one of you the best that life has to offer and a life journey full of great moments and memories with the rewards of health, love and wealth.
Thank you for being the remarkable humans you all are and above all thanks for being there for me and with me in times of joy as well as desperate times. It is with great honor I call you my friends, and with a greater honor I claim you as my brothers for all times to come. Godspeed!!!
